The Lindenwood track and field teams continue to collect first-place titles. On Saturday, the Lions and Lady Lions competed in the Jim Green Invitational in Jacksonville, Ill., and came home with 11 championships.
The women's team won the team title at the event. The Lady Lions collected 124 points, 52.5 more than runner-up Columbia. Lindenwood's men's team was second with 85 points, just 8.5 points behind the champion Greenville.

For the second straight week,
Michael Mlambo won two titles in the long jump and 60m dash. His mark in the long jump was 7.18m, and his 60m time was 6.91.

In other field events, Lindenwood swept the men's and women's high jump titles.
Akintunde Akinyemi won the men's with a mark of 2.00m, and
Anna Tyan won the women's by clearing 1.60m.
Alex Armstrong won the shot put with a throw of 14.42m.
Xavier Boland cleared 4.81m in the pole vault, the highest mark at the event.
Kendra Smith won the women's triple jump event with a mark of 11.82m.

On the track,
Erin Hodge won the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.04, and
Anna-Lena Theisen captured the mile race with a time of 5:17.30. Lindenwood also swept the men's and women's 4x200 relay races.

Lindenwood track and field will be in action next weekend at the Pittsburg State Classic.
