The Lindenwood women's golf team finished in fifth place at the Augustana Spring Fling on Friday afternoon. The two-round tournament was played at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif.
Lindenwood opened the tournament with a first-round score of 318, before shooting a final round total of 325. The Lady Lions finished 13 strokes behind fourth-place, Augustana. Lindenwood was five strokes in front of sixth-place, Central Oklahoma. The tournament featured nine teams and 60 individual golfers.
Kayleigh Stevens Perez had the highest finish for Lindenwood, tying for 15th place. Stevens Perez had a two-round total score of 157.
Yolanda Rotzinger tied for 21st place with a final score of 159, while
Maggie Bryant and
Dakota Limkemann tied for 29th place.
Josefina Haupt and
Natalie Long also competed for the Lady Lions.
Lindenwood will return to action on March 26-27 at the Southern Illinois Spring Invitational.
