The Lindenwood track and field teams competed in the Greenville Select Meet in Greenville, Ill. on Friday. The Lions and Lady Lions both finished fourth at the competition.

Lindenwood's women's team had 73.3 points at the event.
Kendra Smith and
Erin Hodge led the way for the Lady Lions. Smith won the triple jump with a mark of 12.33m, and also placed second in the long jump with a mark of 5.58m. Hodge won the 100m hurdles, finishing in a time of 14.48, and was third in the long jump with a mark of 5.48m.

Michelle Kyle scored in two events, including being second in the hammer competition. Third-place finishes went to Regina Huesca-Barralles in the 400m hurdles and the 4x100 relay team.

For the men's team, the Lions scored 60 points and won four overall events. On the track,
Ero Doce was first in the 400m with a time of 48.83. In the high jump,
Akintunde Akinyemi won the high jump with a mark of 2.03m. In the throwing events,
Ryan Hermann led the Lions by winning the hammer with a throw of 49.44m and also finishing third in the discus.
Alex Armstrong won the javelin with a throw of 61.36m. Also on the field,
Xavier Boland was runner-up in the pole vault by clearing 5.05m.
