The Lindenwood women's golf team secured a first-place finish at the six-team SMSU Spring Invite from Litchfield Park, Ariz. on Tuesday afternoon.
Reagan Snavely was the top-individual finisher for the Lions, landing in first place among the 42 competing golfers.
Lindenwood completed the two-round tournament with a team score of 616, finishing 21 strokes in front of second-place, Southwest Minnesota State. The Lions had the two best team scores of the tournament, posting scores of 310 and 306, respectively.
Snavely completed her two rounds with a score of 151, her best two-round total of the season, to achieve her highest individual finish of the year. Snavely led the field with six birdies over her two rounds, while also totaling 18 pars.
Josefina Haupt landed in sole possession of second place, ending the tournament two strokes behind Snavely with a score of 153. Haupt registered a tournament-high 26 pars, and equaled her previous low-score in the process.
Maggie Bryant and
Dakota Limkemann each had two-round scores of 155, tying them both for fourth place. Bryant had 24 pars over her two rounds, while Limkemann had four birdies.
Natalie Long shot a 158 for the Lions to tie for the 10th position.
Kayleigh Stevens Perez tied for 14th place following a score of 161, and
Alexandra Wheeler tied for 25th place.
Lindenwood will return to the links on Thursday and Friday of this week in Palm Desert, Calif. The Lions will participate in the Augustana Spring Fling to conclude their two-tournament trip.
