The Lindenwood women's golf team finished in seventh place at the Augustana Spring Fling on Friday in Palm Desert, Calif. The tournament was held at the Classic Club and featured 12 competing teams and 72 individual golfers.
Lindenwood began the two-round tournament on Thursday with a team score of 331. The Lions lowered their score by five strokes during the tournament's final round, and finished with a score of 657. Lindenwood landed four strokes behind sixth-place, Biola University. Indianapolis won the event with a score of 606, seven strokes in front of second-place, CSU-San Marcos.
Dakota Limkemann was Lindenwood's top-finisher, tying for 14th place. Limkemann completed the tournament with a score of 159.
Josefina Haupt was one stroke behind Limkemann, shooting a 160 over her two rounds to tie for 19th place. Haupt had Lindenwood's lowest score of the tournament on Thursday with a 76.
Maggie Bryant finished in sole possession of 32nd place with a two-round total of 166.
Lindenwood will return to action on March 25-26 at the Saluki Invitational in Carbondale, Ill.
