The Lindenwood women's golf team completed its regular season schedule with a second-place finish at the Trition Invitational in St. Charles, Mo. on Monday afternoon.
Maggie Bryant and
Josefina Haupt each tied for fourth place to lead the Lions individually.
Lindenwood shot a 310 during its first round of play on Saturday afternoon and then completed the tournament with a score of 307 during its final round on Monday. Lindenwood's two-round total of 617 landed them in second place, eight strokes behind first-place Missouri-St. Louis. The Lions finished 31 strokes ahead of third-place, Southern Indiana.
Bryant and Haupt each tied for fourth place, completing their two rounds with scores of 149. Both golfers fired 25 pars during their two rounds to tie for the lead among the tournament field. For Bryant, the top-five finish is her fourth of the season, while Haupt earned her second top-five finish of the year.
Dakota Limkemann tied for eighth place, posting a score of 155 over her two rounds. Limkemann had her low score of 77 during the first round, before shooting a 78 during the final round of play. Limkemann tied for the team-lead with four birdies.
Yolanda Rotzinger and
Alexandra Wheeler each tied for 19th place with scores of 164, while
Reagan Snavely finished in sole possession of 23rd place.
Natalie Long and
Kayleigh Stevens Perez also competed for Lindenwood.
Lindenwood will return to action on April 23-25 in Kansas City, Mo. for the MIAA Championships.
