The shotgun sports team earned several wins at the FLC Sporting Clays Shoot September 19-20 at the FLC Shooting Grounds in White Hall, Illinois.
Matthew Blankenship and Reece Sparks both navigated through an extremely tough course to sit atop the Open Class M standings with a score of 151/200.Â
Sam Korbs was close behind with 150 to finish tied for fourth, followed by
Tom Ruck with 146,
Shabaz Bassi with 137, and
Michael Blazek with 127. In Class AA, Collin Murer earned the win with 141/200 while
Tristan Stubbs cruised to the top of the Class A standings with 146/200.
Lindenwood claimed the top three spots in Class B, led by Harley Brasher with a score of 126/200. Ryan Pena hit 119, followed by Trace Hatfield with 114.Â
Tylee Totenbier posted a score of 94 to finish ninth in Class C. Robert Blaettner had the top result in Class D with 110, while Mercedes Harris topped Class E with 76.
In the Junior Class standings, Korbs took third, while Brasher finished seventh, and Pena eighth.
The Lions have two more events this week. The Missouri Fall Handicap U.S. Open runs through September 27 at the MTA Homegrounds in Lynn Creek, Missouri, and the Missouri Valley Prairie Groves shoot is Sunday at Prairie Groves Shotgun Sports in Columbia, Missouri.Â
