The Lindenwood women's golf team finished second at the Bearcat Dual Gender on Tuesday in Caseyville, Ill.

OVERVIEW
The Lions finished the first round with a 294, which was the best score through 18 holes.Â
Noelia Rodriguez Chicote was in a tie for first place after shooting even-par in the opening round on Monday.Â
McKenna Montgomery was not far behind, as she notched a 73 with a team-leading four birdies after round one.Â
Addasyn Zeller (74) and Leah Rowe (75) were also in striking distance, as their first-round scores were in the top-10 among the 45 golfers.

Montgomery was even-par through her first nine holes of the second round, but registered an eagle on a 467-yard par-5 to improve her score. Montgomery immediately followed with a birdie on the next hole, and ended the second round with a 71, placing her in a tie for second. Rowe was even-par in the second round, as her two-round score of 147 slated her in a tie for fourth place.

In the final round, Montgomery struggled to gain momentum and shot a 76, which was good enough for a tie for second place. Rowe had four birdies in the final round, but posted a 77 to remain in a tie for fourth place. Rodriguez Chicote shot a 73 in her final round, which include an eagle on the same hole that Montgomery tallied an eagle in the second round. Rodriguez Chicote finished in sixth place, and helped the Lions to a second-place finish as a team.

Lindenwood led the tournament with 154 pars, and tied for first with two eagles. The 33 birdies as a team ranked second in the field, while the Lions averaged a 4.99 as a team on par-5 holes.
