The Lindenwood women's golf team competed in the Rocket Classic Invitational this week. The Lions finished fifth after shooting a 971 overall as a team.
OVERVIEW
As a team, Lindenwood carded an opening round 329, led by
Noelia Rodriguez Chicote who shot an 80 during the opening round. During the first 18, both
Paula Mariana Sanchez and
Jamie Daniels each registered a pair of birdies to pace the team. The Lions fired the same sore as a team in the second round, once again led by Rodriguez Chicote who shot a 76.
Lindenwood improved its score by 16 strokes in the final round, shooting a 313.
Andrea Alvarez led the way, shooting a 75 with the help of 13 pars. Daniels had a strong front nine during the final 18, shooting three-under across the first nine holes of the course.
