The Lindenwood women's golf team finished in sixth place this week at the Saluki Invitational. The Lions finished with a team score of 950 across the two-day tournament.Â
OVERVIEW
Lindenwood shot an opening round 325 at Dalhousie, led by
Noelia Rodriguez Chicote who shot a 77. Rodriguez Chicote had one birdie on the front nine and finished that side with an even-par 36.
Kassidy Hull and
Paula Mariana Sanchez carded the other Lindenwood birdies during the first round.
The Lions improved their score by 13 strokes in round two, paced by Sanchez and Rodriguez Chicote who each fired a 76. Sanchez carded a team-best four birdies in the second round. Not too far behind them was freshman
Jamie Daniels who shot a 79, aided by a one-under back nine. Rodriguez Chicote was tied for 11
th after 36 holes.
Three Lindenwood golfers shot under an 80 in round three, led by Hull who shot a 76. Rodriguez Chicote and Daniels each carded a 77. For the tournament, Rodriguez Chicote and Daniels each registered seven birdies. Â
