Track and Field Takes Seventh and Ninth at the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships

On Wednesday and Thursday, the Lindenwood track and field teams competed at the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships held in Birmingham, Ala., at the Birmingham Metro CrossPlex.

Overview
At the event, the Lions finished ninth on the women's side and seventh on the men's side. Lions had individuals that broke personal records and had multiple top finishers at the event.

Top Women's Performances
Pole Vault – Kira van den Ham placed third (3.50 m)
400 meter –Gabby Russina placed third (56.68), broke personal record

Top Men's Performances
200 meter –Jameel Walkes-Miller placed third (21.66)

As the indoor season comes to a close, the Lions will return to competition to start the outdoor season on March 24^th and 25^th to compete at the Big Blue Classic in Charleston, Ill., hosted at Eastern Illinois.
