Morgan Neitzke of the Lindenwood women's hockey team has been named a first-team all-conference selection by College Hockey America, the conference announced Tuesday. This is the first time a Lindenwood women's hockey player has earned an all-conference selection since 2018-19.
Neitzke had an outstanding sophomore campaign, as she paced the team in goals (20) and points (32). The Jackson, Mich. native was named CHA Forward of the Week two times, while earning Forward of the Month one time during the season. Her 20 goals rank 13th nationally and second in the conference. She also sits inside the CHA top-10 in goals per game (.67), shots (167), shots per game (5.57), and powerplay goals (4)
The 5-7 forward recorded the first hat trick by a Lindenwood player since 2019 back on January 21, earning four points in the game overall. Neitzke had 10 multi-point games and held a 10-game point streak during the year. The Jackson Northwest product has compiled 1.00 points per game during the 2022-23 campaign, which comes in 44th nationally.
