The Lindenwood women's golf team opened its spring schedule this week with a 15
th place finish at the Bama Beach Bash in Gulf Shores, Ala. The Lions improved their score as a team in each of the three rounds played.
OVERVIEW
The Lions shot a 342 as a team in the opening round, but improved by 13 strokes, firing a 329 across the second 18. In her first tournament as a member of the team,
Paula Mariana Sanchez compiled a 77 in round two, aided by 11 pars and two birdies. Overall, the Columbia, South America native finished 60
th, which was second best among Lindenwood golfers.
During the final round, Lindenwood shot a 324 as a team.
Noelia Rodriguez Chicote led the way for the Lions with a 78, and two birdies, followed closely by Sanchez who shot a 79 in the last day of the tournament.
