The Lindenwood women's golf team concluded The Julie on Tuesday, finishing in second place with a team score of 629 over 36 holes at Elks Run Golf Club
OVERVIEW
The Lions opened the tournament with a team score of 317, led by
Andrea Alvarez with a 78. Coming in just behind her was
Paula Mariana Sanchez who carded a 79.
Laura Sanchez finished her round with an 80 and had a team-high two birdies. Rounding out the lineup was
Isabella Buckley with an 80 and
Jamie Daniels who fired an 83.
Through 18 holes, Lindenwood ranked second in the field in par 3 scoring at 3.35, and pars 47. The Lions sat in a tie for first place after day one, and individually, Alvarez was third.
In round two, Lindenwood improved its overall score by five strokes, compiling a 312.
Paula Mariana Sanchez finished with a team-best 77 followed by Alvarez with a 78. Both individuals finished sixth on the leaderboard.
Jamie Daniels also carded a 78 and concluded the tournament 25
th.
Laura Sanchez recorded a 79, while
Isabella Buckley had an 84.
The Lions finished eight shots back of the lead and ended with a team score of 629.
