ST. CHARLES, MO – The Lindenwood beach volleyball team (9-9, 2-3 OVC) defeat Eastern Illinois (0-5, 0-5 OVC) in their first home match of the season at Evans Courts in St. Charles, Mo.
Abby Jacobs and
Annalie McWhorter picked up a win in the number one pair 21-10, 21-15.
Abby VanBuskirk and
Nyah Wilson continued the momentum in the number two pair coming back and winning in three sets, 19-21, 21-16, 15-13 after losing the first.
In the threes,
Katie Bockhorst and
Taylor Gentemann picked up a dominant win, posting a 21-14, 21-6 win. Lindenwood was also victorious in the fours thanks to
Gabby Belcher and
Aubrey Sheppard. The other victory for the Lions came via
Sienna King and
Myah Hough as they won 21-13, 21-13.
These two teams will match up again on Thursday, April 10 in Charleston, Ill. The match is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
