The National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) announced the 2024-2025 All Academic Team this afternoon which featured 11 Women's Rugby Student-Athletes from Lindenwood University. Among the 11 who made the list, seven were upperclassmen and four were Sophomores. The Lions have added to their already impressive resume as they are coming off of a National Championship win back in April as well as achieving the highest team GPA the program has ever seen.
"I am very proud of the team for what they achieved this year in the classroom. Finishing with our team's highest ever GPA and 11 athletes on the NIRA All Academic list is a testament to the work our team puts in year round off the field." said head coach
Trevor Locke.
Overall, the Lindenwood Women's Rugby team ranked in the top half of the 20 schools recognized as All-Academic teams. Brown University (16), Harvard (19), Bowdoin (20), and Queens University of Charlotte (20) were some of the schools who finished just ahead of them.
