Louisville, Ky. – The Lindenwood track and field team finished in a tie for fifth place at the OVC Indoor track and field Championships this week in Louisville, Ky.
SEMO finished with 165 points to repeat as champions, followed by Eastern Illinois, Tennessee Tech, Little Rock, SIUE, and Lindenwood round out the top five.
MEET OVERVIEW
Aliyah Robertson finished first in shot put at 14.17m. The mark is the best in school history and a personal best for Roberston.
Chanel Honeywell was an individual champion, posting a time of 23.96 in the 200 meter, which took the gold. That time was just off her season best and PR but still ranks as the third-best time in school history.
Kinsey Dueker finished with a score of 3450 in the Pentathlon which was good for third place. She finished second in the 60m Hurdles (8.84), third in high jump (1.61), first in shot put (11.15m), which was an indoor PR, fifth in long jump (4.98m), and eighth in the 800m (2:37.70). The high jump mark was the best season. Mireya Simimpson also finished eighth in the event securing her team points with a score of 2659.
Dueker finished sixth in the individual 60m hurdles with a mark of 9.04m.
Nyah Hope took fifth in the 400M with a time of 57.59, which was a PR.
Chanel Honeywell came in second place in the 60m Dash, crossing the line in 7.53 seconds.
