Kendall Klewer of the Lindenwood track and field team has been named Ohio Valley Conference Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference on Wednesday. This marks the second week in a row that a Lion has won the award as Lilly Peters garnered recognition last week,

Klewer had a strong performance at the Little Rock Invitational this past weekend, helping the Lions earn a third-place finish and 105 total points.

The Monroe, Mo. native set personal bests in both the Javelin Throw and Hammer Throw. Her mark in the javelin was 46.43m, which was a new PR by over a meter. It earned her a first-place finish in a field of 10 other competitors. She also set a personal best in the hammer throw at 34.95m, taking 13^th place.

The Lions will be back in action this weekend at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, April 24-25.
