The Lions men's golf team finished seventh overall at its annual Lindenwood Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Crescent Farms Golf Club.
Lindenwood was hurt by a bad second round during Monday's 36 holes when it shot 320, nine shots worse than its first round that day. If the Lions could have repeated its first round score during the second 18, they would have jumped up to fourth-place in the final standings. As it stood, the Lions finished with a 308 during Tuesday's final round and had a final team score of 939.
Lourens Kleynhaus led Lindenwood's varsity team by shooting a 231 and he tied for 12th overall. He was the lone varsity member to break 80 for all three rounds.
Paul Colditz tied for 22nd with a final score of 234. He shot Lindenwood's best single-round at the tournament with a 75 during the first round.
Other individual scores for the Lions were
Richard Docherty with a 238,
Morgan Leigh with a 241, and
Brad Blair with a 249.
