The Lions men's golf team captured first place on Tuesday at its annual Lindenwoood Fall Invitational. Lindenwood jumped out to a lead after round one and then barely hung on through two more for its first win of the season.
Brad Blair shot a tournament-best four-under 68 in the first round and
Morgan Leigh shot a one-under 71 to help the Lions shot 302 and take an early lead. In the second round, Lindenwood shot a 309 to maintain its advantage. Blair finished as the tournament runner-up after a three-round total of 228, finishing six shots behind the medalist. Leigh tied for fourth with a final score of 233.
Greg MacAulay was also in the top 10 as he finished tied for seventh with a 234. He helped the Lions hold onto their lead as he had the top score for the team during the final 36 holes.
Oscar Isacsson shot a 243 and tied for 27th. His best round came during a key time as he shot a 78 in the final round. Rounding out the team was Erik Isacsson who tied for 38th with a 245. Like Oscar, he also had one round under 80.
