The Lindenwood men's golf team finished fifth out of 18 teams at the North Alabama Spring Classic. The Lions were four shots better than Central Missouri, the No. 21 team in NCAA Division II national ranking and the current leader in the MIAA standings.
Lindenwood had a strong first day at the event, shooting rounds of 303 and 296. The Lions finished with a 307 in the final round for a three-round total of 906. North Alabama, a top-10 NCAA program, won the event with an 873.
Oscar Isaccson led Lindenwood with a sixth-place finish. He was leading the tournament with a five-under 139 after 36 holes, but slipped after an 81 in the third round. He tournament total of 220 was four shots better than teammate
Paul Colditz who tied for 15th. He had two rounds of even par or better at the tournament.
Richard Docherty was third on the team with a 232. His best round was a one-over 73 during the second 18-holes.
Patrick Harrell finished with a 234 and
Morgan Leigh shot a 243 at the competition.
Lindenwood is in action again later this week at the SEKI/MSC Spring Invitational.
