The No. 24 Lindenwood men's golf team was runner-up at the SEKI/MSC Spring Invitational. The Lions led after 18 holes but couldn't keep up with the host school Cumberlands during the final round.
The Lions shot a 296 on Thursday afternoon and led by four strokes over Cumberlands. Cumberlands shot a 289 though on Friday, and Lindenwood dropped 16 strokes in the round. Cumberlands finished with a two-day total of 589, 12 better than the Lions' 601.
Paul Colditz was second in the individual standings after shooting par for the tournament. He recorded a 73 in the first round and a 71 in the second round. He was two shots behind the individual winner.
Oscar Isacsson also had a top ten finish as he came in tied for seventh. He was five-over for the tournament after rounds of 74 and 75.
Richard Docherty and
Brad Blair tied for third on the team with a 154. Docherty had a two-over 74 in the first round and Blair carded a 75 in that same round.
Patrick Harrell rounded out the squad with a 166.
