The Lindenwood men's golf team finished fourth on Tuesday at the Heart of America Invitational hosted by Central Missouri. The Lions placed in front of seven MIAA schools at the competition and were only beaten by two varsity MIAA programs.
Lindenwood started out the tournament with a 287 which placed it in second place after 18 holes. The Lions didn't break 290 though in the final two rounds as they scored 297 and 295. The team's total of 879 placed it fourth overall behind two Central Missouri squads and Washburn.
Paul Colditz led Lindenwood and finished eighth overall with a three-round total of three-over 216. His best round was a 70 and he also shot par in another round.
Greg MacAulay tied for 20th with a tournament total of 221. He had a consistent tournament with rounds of 73, 74, and 74. Right behind MacAulay were
Brad Blair and
Oscar Isacsson. Blair shot a 222, including two rounds of 73, and Isacsson finished with a 223, with a personal-best round of 71 for the tournament. Rounding out the squad was
Morgan Leigh who shot a 229. His best round was a 74.
Lindenwood is in action again on April 22 at the Union Spring Invitational.
