Men's Golf is Runner-Up at Final Regular Season Competition

The No. 23 Lions golf team ended its regular season on Friday afternoon with a runner-up finish at the Union Spring Invitational. Lindenwood shot an 890 for the three-round tournament and finished 15 shots behind the host school in the competition.

The Lions shot rounds of 301, 289, and 300 at the competition. Lindenwood will head into the postseason with shooting 300 or better in five out of its last six rounds.

Oscar Isacsson was the team leader and tied for third overall with a four-over 220. He shot his best round of the year with a 68 in the second round, and that score tied for the low round of the tournament. He was just one shot behind the medalist.

Greg MacAulay tied for eighth at the event with a six-over 222. He opened with a 76 and then shot two straight rounds of 73. Brad Blair tied for 12th with a 224. His best round was a 73 during Thursday's second round. Paul Colditz led the team with a 74 in the first round and he finished with a 226, which tied him for 17th. Erik Isacsson was the fifth Lion in the top 20 as he tied for 19th with a 227.

Lindenwood will next compete in the HAAC Championship which will take place on May 9-10 in Hamilton, Ill.
