The Lindenwood Lions men's golf team finished tied for second-place at the Pittsburgh State Invitational just four shots behind the winning team, Central Missouri. The Lions shot a total of 585 while the Mules compiled a score of 581.
In the Lions first 18 holes the team shot a round of 297 and in round two shot nine shots better with a 288. The team's final round score tied the lowest of the tournament.
Lindenwood's top finisher was Brad Blair who finished in second place just two shots behind the leader. In the opening round, Blair fired a 75 but came back on day two and shot a 67. The score was also tied for the low round of the tournament.
Greg MacAulay and Morgan Leigh finished tied for 16th with a total score 150. Erik Isacsson also finished in the top 20 with a score of 151.
Up next for the Lions is the Derrall Foreman Classic in Cleveland, Miss. on September 16.
