Men's Golf Team Finishes in Second Place By Just One Shot

The Lindenwood Lion men's golf team finished in second place out of 12 teams at the Washburn Ichabod Invitational, just one shot behind winner Central Missouri. The Lions shot a team total of 300 in the first and second rounds. The tournament featured 10 future MIAA opponents in the field.

After round one, the Lions were in second place trailing Fort Hays State by just one stroke. The second round saw Lindenwood shoot a total of 300, but the Mules of Central Missouri shot a tournament low 297 to overtake both the Lions and Fort Hays State to capture the title.

Individually, Lindenwood placed two golfers in the top five. Eric Isacsson and Greg MacAuly both finished the tournament with a four-over par 146 which was good for fourth place. Richard Docherty finished in 17th place with a two round total of 152.

The men's golf team will wrap up its season on April 23 when it competes in the Panther Invitational in Springfield, Mo.
