The Lindenwood men's golf squad finished fourth overall at the Pittsburg State Invitational held in Chicopee, Kan. this past Monday and Tuesday.
The Lions shot 604 as a team in the two-day event, just 13 strokes behind first place finisher Washburn University. After day one, Lindenwood turned in a 312 as a team, behind
Oscar Isacsson's 74.
Lindenwood led the tournament in scoring on day two, turning in the low team score of 292.
Greg MacAulay carded a four-under 68 in round two, followed by a 74 by Erik Isacsson and a pair of 75's from
Greg Phillips and
Matt Loewen.
Three Lions finished in the top-twenty, with Erik Isacsson (77-74),
Oscar Isacsson (74-77), and
Greg MacAulay (83-68) finishing in a tie for 15
th overall.
Lindenwood finished just three strokes behind Central Missouri for third. Washburn's Sam Schulte won the invitational with a two-day score of 144.
The Lions will travel this Friday and Saturday to Cleveland, Miss. for the Derall Foreman Classic hosted by Delta State University.
