The Lindenwood men's golf team competed in the Illinois-Springfield Spring Invitational on Saturday. The event, which was shortened to just one round due to the weather, was held in St. Charles, Mo. at Whitmoor Country Club.

Lindenwood finished second out of 12 teams after shooting a 311, five shots more than Ashford. Lindenwood was three shots better than Indianapolis and Maryville, and five shots better than McKendree. Other NCAA Division II teams behind Lindenwood were Concordia-St. Paul, Illinois-Springfield, Lewis, and St. Joseph's.

Erik Isacsson was the top individual golfer for Lindenwood. He finished fourth with a four-over 75. Oscar Isacsson was second on the team with a 76, and Adam Salisbury broke 80 with a 79.

Lindenwood will be in action again on March 25-26 at the Northern Alabama Spring Classic.
