Men's Golf Finishes Tied for Third Place at Jim Bishop Toyota Classic

Men's golf worked its way to a tie for third place at the Jim Bishop Toyota Classic in Florence, Ala.

Due to the weather golfers played just one round on Monday.  The Lions were tied for seventh after day one of the tournament. On Tuesday the Lions played well and moved their way to a tie for third place shooting a 290 for a total of 605.  The Lions had the lowest team score in a round on day two which was also done by North Alabama.

Henderson State University and Central Alabama Community College tied for first place with team scores of 600 and the winner was Henderson State due to a playoff win. Wouter MyBurgh from Southwestern Oklahoma State was the tournament winner with a 141 and a round-low of 68 on Tuesday.

In round one Eric Isacsson finished in a tie for sixth place with a 75 just three strokes behind the leader.  As a team the Lions were tied for seventh place with a total of 315.

Greg MacAulay turned in a 76 placing him in a tie for 12thPatrick Harrell carded an 81, Oscar Isacsson an 83, and Jake Smock with an 88 after round one.

The Lions had two players finish in the top ten. MacAulay ended at a tie for third place carding a 69 in round two to give him a 145 for the tournament.  Eric Isacsson shot a 71 in round two bringing him to 146 for the tournament and a tie for fifth place.

Three other Lions improved their scores from day one.  Harrell went from an 81 to a 73.  Oscar Isacsson scored an 81 in round two which was two strokes better from day one. Smock was 11 strokes better in round two bringing in a 77 to the clubhouse after an 88 on Monday.

MacAulay and Eric Isacsson were named to the All-Tournament team.

Lindenwood will be in action next in Oklahoma City for the UCO Invitational on April 1st.
