The Lindenwood men's golf team finished in second place out of 15 teams at the Washburn Invitational in Topeka, Kan. The Lions finished eight shots behind tournament winner, Central Oklahoma, and four shots ahead of Henderson State.
Greg MacAulay finished in the top individual spot in the tournament winning by seven strokes.

The Lions shot a three-day total of 883. Lindenwood opened the tournament with a team total of 301 then followed that up with a 291 in round two and in round three. The Lions 291 was the third lowest of the weekend.

MacAulay opened the tournament on day one shooting a 72 and a 71. In the final round he scorched the other competitors and shot a tournament low 65 to win the individual crown.
Jake Smock also finished in the top five as well finishing in third. Smock shot a three-day total of 217 which was nine strokes behind MacAulay.

Garret Blair was the next highest finisher at 39
th followed by
Tyler McKay who placed 43
rd.
Ryan Dyck was the final Lindenwood finisher at 51
st.

Lindenwood will be back in action on March 24 at the Jim Bishop Toyota Classic in Muscle Shoals, Ala.
