The Lindenwood men's golf team tied for the low team round on day two of the Embassy Suites Invitational but could not catch the tournament winner, Central Oklahoma. The Lions
Greg MacAulay did capture the individual title shooting a two-round total of 145.
The weather played havoc on day one of the tournament even shortening it by just two rounds. Central Oklahoma battled through the weather and shot an opening round of 306 which was 10 shots ahead of Lindenwood.
With the weather being much nicer in round two Central Oklahoma shot a 297. The weather affected the Bronchos but looking at day two scores it really affected the Lions. Lindenwood shot a 297 which was 19 shots better than day one.
MacAulay won his second individual title in the spring season finishing with a 1-over , 145. In round one, he shot a 3-under 69 in tough conditions and led by five strokes. On day two, MacAulay followed up his 69 with a 76 in round two and won the titled by four strokes.
Zach Halborg finished in sixth place but played as an individual in the tournament.
Ryan Dyck and
Tyler McKay both finished in a tie for 13
th with a 13-over, 157. Jake smock finished in 15
th and
Corbin Adams placed 27
th.
The Lions will wrap up its 2014 spring season with the MIAA Championships in Kansas City on April 21
st.
