The Lindenwood men's golf team finished in a tie for 5
th place at the MIAA Championships in Lawrence, Kan. on Wednesday afternoon.
The Lions finished behind champion, Central Missouri, Northeastern State, Central Oklahoma, and Lincoln. Lindenwood finished just three strokes behind Central Oklahoma and Lincoln. The Lions finished the championships with a three-day total of 905 which was 38-over par.
Lindenwood started the tournament off shooting a 19-over on day one which placed them in sixth place. The Lions finished the tournament with a team total of 300 and 308 in the final two rounds.
Greg MacAulay was the top individual finisher for the Lions finishing in a tie for ninth.
Jake Smock started the final day in fifth but shot an 82 on day three and place in a tie for 18
th.
Ryan Dyck finished in a tie for 29
th followed by
Corbin Adams who placed 31
st and
Tyler McKay in 34
th.
Lindenwood finished its 2013-14 season with the conference tournament and will now wait to see if it makes the field for the NCAA Regional Tournament.
