The Lindenwood golf team finished in a first place tie against the Maryville Saints at the Illinois-Springfield Invitational. But the Lions lost in a playoff and the Saints were named the tournament winners.
After shooting a tournament low 284 in round one the Lions shot a 289 on the second day to finish in a tie against Maryville and just one shot ahead of AIB. The host school, Illinois-Springfield finished in fourth place just three shots behind the leaders.
Jakob Storts was the team's top individual finisher in a tie for third. He shot a two-round total of 140 just one shot out of first place.
Ryan Dyck finished in a tie for eighth after he was the tournament leader after shooting a tourney-low 65 in round one but followed that up with a 78 on day two. Â
Garrett Blair was the next highest finishing in 11
th place followed by
Corbin Adams in 18
th and
Bernardo Barea Lopez in 41
st.
The Lions will be off until April 6
th when the team host the Lindenwood Invitational.
