Briana Miller and Landon Shuffett duplicated their individual titles from a year ago at the 2015 ACUI Collegiate 9-Ball Championships June 25-27 at the Student Union Game Room at the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio.Â
Miller swept through the double-elimination bracket, posting decisive victories in each round, concluding with a 7-1 win in the women's finals over Allie Bayless from

Sharik Sayed (r)Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville. Fellow Lady Lion Kelly Zahn made a nice run in the competition to finish in the fifth through sixth position.
Shuffett also went undefeated, but not without being tested by Sharik Sayed in the finals. Shuffett outlasted his Lindenwood teammate 8-7 in back-to-back matches to claim his second consecutive men's title. Several other Lions performed well at the event. Tanner Nickels just missed the semifinal round, finishing in the fifth through sixth position. Prem Karki, Sean Sommers, and Jaydan Hergott finished in the ninth through 12
th position, and Bibhor Shrestha ended the tournament in the 17
th through 24
th position. At the conclusion, Sayed was voted by his peers as the recipient of the Sportsmanship Award.
Head coach Mark Wilson praised all of his players for their performances.
"This was a terrific result and is the reward for discipline and work ethic by all of our team members," he said. "They unilaterally led the way by presenting great respect and a positive attitude while displaying pool playing excellence."
Lindenwood qualified a total of seven men and two women for the championship, which included players from 14 different schools throughout the country.Â
