The Lindenwood men's golf team continued its 2015 fall season, placing fourth at the Missouri Southern Fall Invitational from Monkey Island, Okla. The two-day tournament featured 11 competing teams and wrapped up on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Lions completed the three-round event with a total team score of 896, placing them five strokes behind Central Oklahoma and nine strokes in back of Missouri Southern. Lindenwood saw their low round come during round two of the tournament, shooting a combined 293. 

The highlight of the tournament came from freshman Yente Van Doren who recorded a hole-in-one in the first round. He used a six-iron to ace the 165-yard, No. 5 hole.
 
Ryan Dyck and Van Doren both finished the tournament with individual scores of 218, finishing t-5th. Dyck opened the tournament with a 72 followed up by two consecutive rounds of 73. Van Doren fired a team-best 69 in his second round, which was bookended by a 74 and 75, respectively. Not far behind for the Lions were Jorge Jeronimo Edo Maseo and Brad Currier. Edo Maeso placed t-19th after shooting a three-round total of 228, while Currier ended the tournament t-29th with a total of 232. Also competing for the Lions was Ryan Amos, who placed t-59th.
 
The Lions will next compete in the Brickyard Invitational from Indianapolis, Ind. on September 21-22.
