The Lindenwood men's golf team concluded its fall season on Tuesday afternoon with a fourth-place finish at the Lindenwood Fall Invitational. The three-round tournament was played at the Missouri Bluffs Golf Club in St. Charles, Mo. and featured 15 competing teams and 93 individual golfers.
Lindenwood posted an impressive first round score of 287, tying the Lions for the lead after 18 holes of play. Lindenwood completed the second round with a score of 296, and finished the first day of the tournament in third-place. The Lions shot an even 300 during the final round, finishing with a total team score of 883. Lindenwood finished five strokes behind third-place Central Oklahoma and nine strokes in front of fifth-place Washburn.
Ryan Dyck and
Alejandro Canizares finished tied for 11th-place, leading the way for Lindenwood with scores of 219. Dyck had a low-round of 70, while Canizares posted a low score of 71.
Yente Van Doren tied for 13th-place with a score of 221.
Juan Torrente tied for 28th-place, while
Christian Argyros finished tied for 33rd-place.
Garrett Blair,
Brad Currier,
Tyler McKay, and
Colton Wyllie also competed as individuals for Lindenwood.
Following the fourth-place finish, the Lions completed their six-tournament fall schedule with four top-five finishes. The Lindenwood men's golf team will resume play in the spring of 2017.
