The Lindenwood men's golf team finished in third-place at the MSSU Fall Invitational from Shangri-La Country Club in Monkey Island, Okla. The three round, two-day tournament featured 12 competing teams and 71 individual golfers.  

Lindenwood posted scores of 289, 293, and 288 during its three rounds of play. The Lions finished one stroke behind second-place Oklahoma Christian, and nine strokes behind first-place Central Oklahoma. Lindenwood landed seven strokes in front of fourth-place Southern Nazarene.

For the fourth consecutive tournament, Yente Van Doren was the top finisher for Lindenwood, landing in third-place. Van Doren opened the tournament with a first round score of 73, before firing consecutive rounds of 70 to finish the event.

Koke Edo Maeso tied for 10th-place with a three round total score of 218. Edo Maeso had his best score during the first round of play, shooting a 72.

Colton Wyllie tied for 15th-place, bookending his play with first and third round scores of 71.

Alejandro Canazares and Juan Torrente tied for 23rd-place with identical scores of 223. Canazares had his low score of 70 during the second round of play. Torrente shot a 73 in the first round.

Also competing for the Lions, Ryan Dyck tied for 38th-place.

Lindenwood will return to action on Oct. 10-11 at the Midwest Regional in Eureka, Mo. The tournament will be hosted by Missouri-St. Louis and will be played at the Fox Run Golf Club.
