The Lindenwood men's golf team finished in second place at the Midwest Regional in Eureka, Mo. on Tuesday afternoon. The two-round tournament featured 22 teams and 108 competing golfers.
Lindenwood opened the tournament with a first-round score of 296, before lowering its score by one stroke during the tournament's final round. The Lions finished the event with a two-round score of 591, two strokes behind first-place McKendree.
Yente Van Doren was the top-finisher for Lindenwood, tying for 10th place. Van Doren shot a 148 over his two rounds, aided by a final round score of 71.
Markus Lindgren and
Alejandro Canazares each tied for 16th place. Each of the golfers shot a 149 during the tournament, and both had low-scores of 73.
Colton Wyllie landed one stroke in back of Lindgren and Canazares, tying for 22nd place. Wyllie posted consecutive scores of 75 during his two rounds.
Christian Argyros also competed for Lindenwood, tying for 53rd place.
Lindenwood will wrap up its fall season on October 16-17 in Topeka, Kan. at the Ichabod Invitational. The tournament will be held at the Topeka Country Club.
