The Lindenwood men's golf team concluded the fall portion of its schedule with a tournament championship at the Washburn Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. Lindenwood landed three golfers inside the top-10, and earned the team championship after defeating Central Oklahoma on the first playoff hole.

Lindenwood opened the tournament on Monday with scores of 293 and 289, before shooting a 290 during the final round. The Lions finished with the same 54-hole score, 872, as second-place Central Oklahoma. The three-round tournament featured 17 teams and 99 golfers.

Markus Lindgren led the way for Lindenwood, tying for fourth place. Lindgren had his best score of 70 during the tournament's first round, and completed the event with a three-round score of 215. Lindgren fired 10 birdies over his three rounds, the second-highest total on the team.

Colton Wyllie tied for sixth place, finishing two strokes behind Lindgren, with a score of 217. Wyllie, who led Lindenwood with 34 pars during his three rounds, had his best score of 70 during the second round of the tournament.

Yente Van Doren finished one stroke behind Wyllie, tying for eighth place. Van Doren ended the tournament with back-to-back rounds of 71, and led the Lions with 11 birdies.

Alejandro Canazares tied for 17th place, completing the tournament with a score of 222. Canazares posted a low score of 69 during his final round of play.

Caleb Picker, who competed as an individual, tied for 42nd place. Christian Argyros also competed for Lindenwood, tying for 84th place.

Earlier this season, Lindenwood finished in first place at the Arch Cup, and completes the five-tournament fall season with three top-two finishes.
