The Lindenwood men's golf team tied for third place at the 14-team Broncho Stampede on Tuesday afternoon in Edmond, Okla.
Yente Van Doren and
Christian Argyros were the top-finishers for the Lions, as both golfers tied for sixth place among the 75-golfer field.
As a team, Lindenwood posted scores of 292, 288, and 302 over its three rounds for a final score of 882. The Lions landed in a tie with Central Oklahoma for third place, as both teams finished three strokes behind second-place, Central Missouri. Missouri Western won the tournament with a three-round score of 865.
Lindenwood's second-round score of 288 was its second-best single-round score of the season, and was the second time this year that the team was even par or better for a round.

Van Doren's first-round score of 67 (-5) was Lindenwood's best individual round of the season. Van Doren recorded his ninth top-10 finish of the season, while Argyros had his first. Argyros led all golfers with 41 pars over his three rounds of play. Van Doren fired 14 birdies, tying for the second-highest total at the event. Lindgren tied for the tournament-lead with two eagles, while Canazres had one.
Lindenwood will return to action at the MIAA Championships on April 23-25 at the Sycamore Ridge Golf Club in Spring Hill, Kan.
