Lions Win Third Straight Match

The Lions won their third straight match by a final of 12-5 over the Quincy Chalkers Sunday afternoon at the Lindenwood Billiards Arena in St. Charles, Missouri. 

Reigning national champions Andreas Madsen and Taylor Hansen led the way with perfect match play records and the top scores in 15-ball.  Madsen posted a perfect 60 while Hansen came close with 58.

Head Coach Mark Wilson was complimentary of the pair of players.

"Both Andreas and Taylor are the shining example for the entire team in regards to life, academics, and pool skills," he said.  "They are the complete package."

With the victory, the Lions improved to 12-3 for the season.  They will begin a string of collegiate competition with three matches April 13-14 at the Memorial Union on the campus of the University of Illinois in Champaign – Urbana.  Lindenwood will face Purdue at 1 p.m. and Southern Illinois – Edwardsville at 6 p.m. that Saturday, then the host Illini at 1 p.m. Sunday.
