The Lindenwood men's golf team competed in the NSU Men's Golf Classic in Muskogee, Okla. The Lions concluded the tournament on Tuesday and finished in 15th place.
OVERVIEW
Jordan Breen closed out the three-round tournament with a 69 to lead the team in the overall score at 220. Breen tied for 42nd place in the highly-competitive tournament, as the top score in the field was a 205. Breen posted just two birdies in his first two rounds combined, but came out on Tuesday to fire six birdies in the final 18 holes.
Adam Bain had an exciting first day, as he posted an eagle on a 518-yard par5 in the first round. Later in the day on Monday, Bain knocked one in for eagle on a 372-yard par-4 in the second round. The two eagles in the tournament led the field.
Tyler May was the only other Lion to register an eagle, as he did so on the same par-5 as Bain, but his came in round two.
Liam Bentein,
Matthew Frith, and Breen each posted one round of par or better in the three-round tournament. Frith led the Lions after the first day, as he notched scores of 71 and 72, respectively through two rounds. Breen tied the top score in the field on par-3 holes with an average score of 2.92 throughout the 54 holes.
