The Lindenwood men's golf team opened the 2021-22 season on Tuesday at the Arch Cup in Fairview Heights, Ill. The Lions shot well on Tuesday, registering the second-most birdies through 36 holes.
OVERVIEW
As a team, the Lions averaged a 4.88 (-5) on par 5's, as
Matthew Frith helped the cause with an eagle on the par-5 14th hole in his first round.
Renato Filho scored the most birdies in the second round among Lindenwood golfers with five.
Jordan Breen led the Lions with eight birdies on the day, as he posted four in each of his two rounds.
Frith finished the tournament in a tie for 12th place, after shooting a 71 in the first round which was good for the second-best score through 18 holes. Filho had a nine-stroke improvement from his first round to his second round, as he closed out the day in a tie for 15th place. Joining Filho with a 149 was
Liam Bentein who posted scores of 75 and 74, respectively to lead Lindenwood's B team.
