The Lindenwood men's golf team wrapped up the Big O classic from the Club at Indian Creek in Omaha, Neb.
Liam Bentein led the way for the Lions, finishing in a tie for 16th. As a team, the Lions finished in 13th.
OVERVIEW
Lindenwood improved their score by four strokes from round on to round two, shooting a 301 in the opening round, while compiling a core of 297 across the second 18.
Tyler May put together a solid opening round, showing five birdies on the card, including back-to-back on 11 and 12, on his way to a 71. In round two,
Matthew Frith paced the Lions with an even par 72, aided by a one-under 35 on the front nine. He also had an eagle on the par 5 15th in round one.
In the final round, Bentein carded a two-under 70, helped by four birdies, which guided him to his 16th place finish. May ended the tournament in a tie for 30th, second best among Lindenwood golfers. The Lindenwood lineup was rounded out by
Renato Filho who finished in 71st and
John Gardner who finished in 91st
