The Lindenwood men's golf team opened its season on Tuesday at The Arch Cup. The Lions finished in a tie for fifth, while
Liam Bentein took home a third-place finish
OVERVIEW
Bentein led the way for Lindenwood, carding an opening round 68, with the help of four birdies on the card. The native of Belgium took control on the par 3's averaging a 2.50. He ended the day with the fourth most birdies with 10.
John Gardner finished right behind him with nine birdies on the day.
Lindenwood averaged a score of 4.13 on par 4's, as
Matthew Frith helped the cause by picking up three birdies on such holes during the second 18.Frith wrapped up his day in a tie for 23rd, second best among Lindenwood golfers. Sil Byers posted an even par 71 across the opening 18, which included no bogeys.
