The Lindenwood men's golf team finished the Tiger Intercollegiate in 18
th place with a team score of 899. The Lions competed with the likes of Mizzou, South Carolina, and Iowa State at The Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Mo.
OVERVIEW
The Lions opened the tournament with a 299, led by
Gabriel Lindahl who shot a two-over 73. Coming in just behind him was
Renato Filho who shot a 74, using a team-best three birdies in the opening round to get to that score.
Liam Bentein also registered a trio of birdies in the opening round and shot a 75 across his first 18 holes.
Lindenwood shot a 301 in round two, paced by Lindahl with an even-par 71. The native of Sweden eagled the eighth hole after earning a birdie in round one. He finished his second 18 holes on a high note, going one-under on the back nine. Bentein and
Juan Ballester each registered a 76, while Filho and
Matthew Frith compiled a 78 and 79, respectively,
In the third and final round, Lindenwood compiled a 299 as a team. Bentien carded a team-best round of 69, with the help of five total birdies, while shooting two under on the front nine. Lindahl came in just behind him with a one-over 72. Frith and Filho each registered a 79, while Ballester shot an 84 on the final day.
