Lindenwood Sports Hall of Fame
Shannon Tierney (formerly Malek) still holds many of Lindenwood’s women’s basketball career records she set during her career from 1992-96. Among those records are playing in 128 games, scoring 1,808 points and grabbing 855 rebounds. She averaged 14.1 points and 6.7 rebounds a game, and shot 52.7 percent from the field. She is also fourth at Lindenwood with 180 steals and 63 blocks. Tierney was a four-time all-conference pick, including twice being the conference player of the year. She was also an honorable mention all-American selection. She helped Lindenwood go 37-3 in conference play during her four years. The Lady Lions won four straight conference championships and advanced to the NAIA Division I National Tournament three times.
