Lindenwood Sports Hall of Fame
James (Skip) Hale was a two-sport star athlete for Lindenwood from 1975-79. He was a four-year starter in baseball and a three-year starter in basketball. He was named the Lindenwood Athlete of the Year in 1979.
In baseball, he was named to the SLAACA Conference team and finished his career with a .385 batting average. In basketball, he was a two-time honorable mention all-conference selection. He collected over 1,000 points and 700 assists in his career, the latter a school record at the time. He was a member of the 1977 basketball team which was one of the most successful squads in program history.
Hale also coached at Lindenwood, spending two years as an assistant basketball coach and one year as head baseball coach.
