Glen Cerny, a 1974 graduate of Lindenwood, was a member of the original men’s basketball team in 1970-71 and played through the 1972-73 season. He later returned to Lindenwood and served as the first full-time general manager of KCLC and was an Associate Professor of Mass Communication from 1988-2001. KCLC excelled under Cerny, including its sports broadcasting department. Cerney trained numerous students who entered the sports field, including Dan McLaughlin (FoxSports) and Greg Amsinger (CBS Sports). Cerny also assisted the athletic department as the Faculty Athletic Representative from 1994-2001. He was on the Heart of America Athletic Conference Eligibility Committee from 1998-2001, including the chair in 2000-01.
